Detailed Description

Day One

Arrival at the chosen location.

Welcome dinner with a short introduction to the traditional Umbrian and Italian cuisine.

Day Two

The morning, after breakfast, we will have the first cooking class. You will learn how to make traditional Italian Pasta: our chef will teach you how to make tagliatelle, gnocchi and ravioli, famous pastas that grace Italian tables!

Lunch follows including the recipes that were prepared in class.

After lunch, we will go to Montefalco, the "land of wine". This ancient wine town leads you to the cave, of the famous Sagrantino wine. At the cave we will have a wine tasting of the famous local wines "Sagrantino di Montefalco" and Rosso di Montefalco.

Back to the hotel, we will have our dinner with an assortment of Umbrian "salami" and ham, the original Torta al Testo (Umbrian bread), and an assortment of "schiacciata", typical pizza Umbrian style.

Day Three

Breakfast is served.

The morning cooking class will feature how to cook using the freshest ingredients available, creating fantastic seasonal menus. So first we will go to have shopping at the local market where we will enjoy the authentic "Italian life", then back to prepare our vegetarian lunch. You will learn how to prepare different kind of vegetarian pasta sauces; the famous "parmigiana" made with the fresh seasonal Umbrian vegetables, and the traditional grilled vegetables with several condiments.

In the afternoon, an excursion takes you to Assisi, the land of the Holy Saint Francesco...and then on to visit an artisan olive oil maker.

Back to the hotel, we will have our last dinner together and we will enjoy a special menu composed by different courses made using ingredients such as black truffles, mushrooms and boar.
