Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 :

SUNDAY/
Frankfurt - Rudesheim - Rhine Cruise - Heidelberg - Wiesloch (D)
Depart from Frankfurt in the morning and drive to Rudesheim, which is famous for its wines and vineyards.Take a short Rhine cruise, passing romantic castles. Motorcoach to Heidelberg, where we visit the inner courtyard of the impressive castle and its wine cellar with the big barrel. Continue your journey on a walking tour of the beautiful old university town. In the evening, enjoy a 3-course welcome dinner with a welcome drink. Overnight stay in Wiesloch at Hotel Palatin o.s.

Day 2 :

MONDAY/
Wiesloch - Black Forest - Lake Constance (B)
After breakfast, depart for the Black Forest, a region known for the cuckoo clocks. Take a moment to explore the beauty of Triberg and lake Titisee. Arrive at north shore of Lake Constance in the afternoon and enjoy a walking tour of the picturesque Lindau. From here, it is just a few minutes to Bregenz, which is well known for the famous festival that takes place every July and August. Overnight stay in Bregenz at Hotel Messmer o.s.

Day 3 :

TUESDAY/
Lake Constance - Neuschwanstein Castle - Garmisch-Partenkirchen (B)
Today, we move into the Allgau, viewing the fantastic Bavarian Alps. In Hohenschwangau, we visit the fairy tale castle of King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein. Take a moment to see another architectural treasure, the glorious rococo church in Wies. In the late afternoon, we arrive at the Olympic town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Overnight stay at Hotel Obermuhle o.s.

Day 4 :

WEDNESDAY/
Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Linderhof Castle - Oberammergau - Ettal - Munich (B)
Less known but, even more beautiful than Neuschwanstein is Linderhof Castle, which we visit in the morning. We then continue our tour to Oberammergau, home of the famous Passion Play which takes place every 10 years. The last event took place in the year 2000. Stop and explore the Benedictine Monastery of Ettal. We will be on our way to Munich, with optional "Bavarian Evening" inclusive dinner and entertainment. Overnight stay at Hotel ErzgieBerei Europe o.s.

Day 5 :

THURSDAY/
Munich - Nuremberg (B)
Enjoy an extensive tour of Munich, showing you all the main sights of the splendid Bavarian capital, including the Nymphenburg Palace. In the afternoon, drive to the historic city of Nuremberg, with its unique medieval city centre. Take a walking tour to see the most interesting sights. Stop and explore the Reichsparteitagsgelande, which is the courtroom of 600 of the famous Nurnberg Trials and also more joyous places like gingerbread-bakeries and Bratwurst stands. Overnight stay at the DERAG Hotel Maximilian o.s.

Day 6 :

FRIDAY/
Nuremberg - Castle Road - Rothenburg (B/D)
After breakfast, drive along the Castle Road to the Romantic Road. Arrive in Rothenburg around noon. Enjoy a walking tour of the charming town including the Jakobskirche church, with an altar created by T. Riemenschneider. In the evening, enjoy a 3-course farewell dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel Tilman Riemenschneider o.s.

Day 7 :

SATURDAY/
Rothenburg - Wurzburg - Frankfurt (B)
Early in the morning, we leave for Wurzburg. Enjoy a tour of the magnificent Residence, a masterpiece of German Baroque architecture. In the afternoon, we arrive at Frankfurt.
