DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:

DAY 1: USA
Depart USA for an overnight flight to Rome.

DAY 2: ROME
Arrival in Rome. A Homeric Tours representative welcomes you to Italy and transfers you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 3: ROME
Today explore the city of Rome on your own or take an optional half day city tour. The optional tour will include the Republic Square, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Castle St. Angelo, and St. Peter’s Basilica. (B)

DAY 4: ROME
Full day at leisure. Stroll down the beautiful Via Condotti or the romantic Spanish Steps. Discover Rome’s hidden treasures at your own pace or perhaps an optional tour. (B)

DAY 5: ROME / FLORENCE
Depart Rome after breakfast for Florence. Transfer independently to the train station for your journey to Florence. Upon arrival, make your way to your Florence hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to explore this magical and artistic city. (B)

DAY 6: FLORENCE
Today discover all the wonders this city has to offer on your own or enjoy an optional half day sightseeing tour of this picturesque and medieval city. The highlights of the optional tour will include a drive along the Romantic Viale Dei Colli up to Piazzale Michelangelo where you will admire the wonderful panorama of the city, one of the most beautiful in the world, the Duomo: Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery with its bronze doors including the famous Porta Del Paradiso and the Cathedral with the magnificent Cupola Del Brunelleschi. A short walk through the historic streets of Florence brings you to the Galleria dell’Accademia* where you can admire the famous David by Michelangelo and other works by the Great Artist. (B)

*Note: The Galleria dell’Accademia is closed on Monday and will be replaced by the Bargello museum or the Medici Chapels.

DAY 7: FLORENCE
Full free day to explore and discover Florence’s treasures at your own pace or perhaps join one of the available optional excursions. (B)

DAY 8: FLORENCE / VENICE
After breakfast, transfer independently to the train station for your journey to Venice. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to explore this romantic city. (B)

DAY 9: VENICE
Today take an optional walking city tour at St. Mark’s Square, visit the Doge’s Palace and the Basilica of St. Mark’s, and view the Bell Tower and the Bridge of Sighs. (B)

DAY 10: VENICE
This day is at leisure. Today, take advantage of the shopping this trendy city has to offer. Shop for Fortuny fabric, Venetian Glass or, Carnavale mask at one of the many curios. From St. Mark’s Square to end of the Rialto Bridge, the Merceria is where fashion from the past meets future. Tonight, perhaps dine at one of the many roof-top restaurants known for their regional cuisine. (B)

DAY 11: VENICE / USA
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home. Arrival same day. (B)
