Detailed Description

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China and has been an historic center of power, culture and wealth that continues to today. There are 4 not-to-be-missed attractions in Beijing -- Forbidden City, Great Wall, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace. During your stay in Beijing, you will visit them all.

Xi'an is home to the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors, and a long, uninterrupted history due to its strategic location along the Yellow river. Its flat, rich land and easy access to water meant bountiness of crops for the people, and its proximity to the Silk Road brought exotic wonders to the emperors' courts. Your tour is likely to take in all the magnificent sites and history found in Xi'an.

The world famous Yangtse River is the cradle of Chinese civilization. It is the Mother River of China, and ranks as the number one river in China and the third longest river in the would. It is ten thousand-li long, traversing across the land of China. The splendid Three Gorges along the upper-medium bank of the river in Chongqing of Sichuan Province and Hubei Province are regarded as the most famous gorges in the world. The excursion of the Three Gorges is recognized as the everlasting golden line of tourist attraction in China.

Shanghai started out in the fourth century as a fishing village and became a town in the middle of the thirteenth century. After the Opium War, Shanghai became one of the treaty ports where trade with the foreign merchants were permitted and colonial settlements allowed. The large scale influx of colonial interests later led to its partial partition at the hands of the British/American, French and Japanese. The era of colonial rule came to an end with the liberation of the city in 1949. The great development of Shanghai should be highlighted till the beginning of the 1990s when the Shanghai government launched a series of new strategies to attract foreign investments for building up Shanghai by developing Pudong, once a rural area of Shanghai, into a technology zone. Today, Shanghai has again become not only an ideal place for investment and business, but also a popular tourist spot for its unique blend of the traditional and the modern.
