Day 1: San Jose - Fly into the San Jose International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by one of our representatives, at which point your itinerary will be explained and questions answered. Transfer to Parque del Lago Hotel with a Certification in Sustainable Tourism (CST) and Rainforest AllianceMember (RA Member). Stay overnight in Hotel El Rodeo, breakfast included.

Day 2 - 3: Tortuguero - After your breakfast you will be transferred to the Pavas Airport, to take a flight with Nature Air, the first and zero carbon emissions airline in CostaRica to Tortuguero.

You will explore the creeks of Tortuguero National Park by boatwith a naturalist guide to observe wildlife and flora. Return to the lodge for lunch. The rest of the day is free for optional excursions (at additionalcost). Stay overnight at Tortuga Lodge, all meals included.

Day 4: Arenal - Leave from Tortuguero by boat and take a private transfer in Cano Blanco to Arenal, whereyou will stay at the luxurious Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort (RAMember). The Hotel is a five-star resort located at the foot ofthe Arenal Volcano. A three-time World Travel Awards recipient and three-leafSustainable Tourism Certificate holder. Stay overnight in Tabacon Resort. Entrance to the hot springs included.

Day 5: Cano NegroWildlife Refuge - Nature exploration in Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is gaining popularity amongst nature oriented tourists. The reason is that the lake fills at thebeginning of the rainy season with the run off from the Frio River.This natural phenomenon creates a perfect environment for birds to procreate,thus providing a bird-watcher's paradise. Transportation and box lunchincluded. Stay overnight at the Tabacon Resort.

Day 6: Tamarindo - Take a flight with Nature Air from Arenal to Tamarindo with stopover in Liberia.The natural wonders of this region are so astonishing that, for a moment, youforget the world you have left behind once you have crossed the threshold intonature's playground. Stay overnight in Cala Luna Hotel, breakfast included.

Day 7: Marino Las Baulas National Park - You can visit Playa Grandeand Playa Langosta, both protected nesting areas for the giant leatherback turtle, and both are part of the Costa Rican national park system. Tours are led by official guides. Overnight in Cala Luna and breakfast is included the next day.

Day 8: Departure - Unfortunately this trip has come to an end. You will be transported to the Liberia airport or to San Jose airport to await your international flight.
