Detailed Description

Day 1
Arrival in Warsaw. Panoramic orientation tour of Warsaw. Walk along the beautifully decorated Royal Route with many shops and cafeterias. On this first day in Poland we invite you for a special Frederic Chopin concert. Our great composer, one of the most well known Poles around the world, will introduce us to Poland's landscape and tradition with his music. In the repertoire. famous mazurkas and polonaises. A glass of sparkling wine during a short intermission. Other option - a children's choir to sing typical Polish carols. Welcome dinner at one of the local restaurants where you will taste typical Polish dishes, such as: white borsch, dumplings stuffed with mushrooms and cabbage or meat, poppy seed roll served with honey and dainties. Restaurant beautifully decorated with Christmas ornaments and the Christmas tree, under which each one of you will find a small gift.

Day 2
In the morning visit to the Ethnographical Museum to learn about legends and superstitions rooted in our Christmas tradition.

Afterward, drive to the Old Town to spend a magic time at the Christmas Market. It is open from December 5th till 23rd with over 100 strands located next to the Royal Castle in the Old Town. You can find there many beautiful Christmas decoration; all kinds of gifts, crib figurines, toys, wood carvings, marionettes, candles, angles and above all the most colorful glass balls. You can buy sweets, ceramics, and spices and other Christmas tree ornaments.

In the meantime you can have a cup of hot tea, cake and listen to carols sang by the children choir. You can also visit one of the historical churches in the Old Town area for an organ concert. But you should also not omit to visit the Kamelite Church with the biggest and oldest moving wooden installation that presents the greatest Polish personalities and heroes that walk to meet with the born Jesus child.
Late afternoon drive to one of the shopping malls in Warsaw - Arkadia or Golden Terraces, with over 200 shops, restaurants and cinemas. All shops are beautifully decorated, colorful and offer many Christmas gifts and souvenirs. You can sit in one of the coffee shops and have a hot chocolate and listen to typical Polish carols.

Day 3
Full day excursion to Mazovian countryside.

First visit Zelazowa Wola - the birthplace of Frederic Chopin, with the former manor house, now a museum devoted to our great composer and his family. See the beautiful park surrounding the museum, in the winter time wonderfully covered with snow.

Afterward, drive to Nieborow to see the magnificent interiors of Radziwill family aristocratic residence with the famous Niobe marble sculpture.

Continue with drive to Lowicz, a typical mazovian town famous for folk art and craft. See the small market square with the magnificent Basilica, where you can listen to choir or organ concert and contemplate in peace the wonderful Christmas time.

Then we take you for a home hosted lunch. You will be welcomed in a typical Polish traditional way: with bread and salt. Afterward, you will taste typical Polish dishes that are served for the Christmas Eve Dinner. But before the dinner we will invite you to join a typical Polish Christmas ritual: you will get Christmas Eve holy water and bread. Shared eating of the bread is a sign of friendship and the readiness to share the last piece of bread and forgive wrongs and wish all the very best.

Afterward, enjoy your meal: clear beetroot soup accompanied by small ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms, aromatic carp in jelly decorated with boiled vegetables, tasty herrings with sour cream or oil, home made apple-pie cake.

Listen to Polish carols, sit by the fireplace and enjoy the Polish hospitality and Polish Christmas.

Even drive back to you hotel.

Last moment shopping and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
