Meals: one dinner
Escort/guide: transfer from airport to hotel and evening

World Heritage Ha Long Bay :
2 days on the worlds most remarkable seascape

Overnight on a wooden junk (with all modern conveniences); exploring caves and caverns; seafood meals plucked fresh from the bay, then back to Hanoi to board the evening flight to Hue .

Central Vietnam – Hue , Hoi An and My Son:
3 days, mostly cycling

After cycling through Hue 's rural villages towards the Thanh Toan Bridge and a local market you'll be ready for lunch. Next you pass the Imperial Citadel, explore a couple of ‘garden houses', visit Thien Mu Pagoda, cross the river by boat to ride Hue's hinterland before looping back to your hotel in time for a traditional meal based on classic Hue cuisine.

On the following morning, you'll cycle along picturesque peninsula shaded by coconut palms to cross the Perfume River ferry to the coast. Then, after splashing in the azure waters of Lang Co beach and seafood lunch, you'll be ready for the views from Hai Van Pass and the route to Ancient Town of Hoi An.

The next day is based around Hoi An, the Thu Bon River and the My Son Sanctuary with plenty to see and time to laze on the beach or shop in the quaint streets of the Ancient Town

Meals: four breakfasts, three lunches and one dinner
Escort/guide: from pick-up and return to your hotel each day

Down the coast from My Lai to Nha Trang:
3 days, nearly all cycling

The latter part of the route mostly runs alongside the South China Sea through small communities and striking views of the surrounding countryside passing My Lai , the site of the infamous massacre during the war. From there, the roads meander through fishing villages, small towns and Quy Nhon and Thu Yen, the only cities of any size but seldom visited. Much of the route runs beside the Reunification Express railway with the inland backgrounds of the gently rolling hills of the Highland foothills.

Eventually, the ‘off the beaten track' route begins to converge with the highway as Nha Trang , Vietnam 's busiest coastal resort. From there, the final destination looms ahead with the prospect of a well-deserved rest!

Meals: three breakfasts and three lunches
Escort/guide: from pick-up and return to your hotel each day

Phan Thiet Town and Mui Ne Beach: 3 Days

Relaxing on a palm-fringed coral sand beach with good restaurants, rolling dunes is your reward. There's even a good golf course available in nearby Phan Thiet. Plenty of time to reminiscence about your experiences as you wind down.
