Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 :
Start at the iconic Great Barrier Reef where you'll stay right on the beach, with time to enjoy the tropical breezes and palm trees for which this state, Queensland, is famous.
Day 2 :
Do a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef, with snorkeling at some of the hottest spots.
Day 3 :
Experience the far north of the country, Cape Tribulation, with a stop at Daintree Rainforest en route. For lunch, enjoy an excellent selection of steak, fish or vegetarian meal with fresh salads and fruit platter in a beautiful rainforest setting.
Day 4 :
Fly over to Australia's red center, staying at Uluru. Marvel at sunset on the rock at the "Sounds of Silence Dinner."
Day 5 :
This day, learn about indigenous culture, and explore mystical Uluru aboard the back of a camel at sunrise - when the rock turns bright orange.
Day 6 :
Head over to Alice Springs and board the Ghan, famous for expansive rural vistas as the train cruises through the Outback to Adelaide. You'll be treated to fine food and wine with your Platinum Service.
Day 7 :
See the majestic Flinders Ranges in the early morning light. Arrive in Adelaide and enjoy the town for the afternoon.
Day 8 :
Today, head over to a center of Australian wildlife, Kangaroo Island. Get up close to seals and sea lions at Seal Bay, encounter koalas and more wildlife en route to your overnight island accommodation. Your luggage? No worries! We take care of all transfers from room to room along the way.
Day 9 :
This full day share tour explores some of Kangaroo Island’s highlights and lesser known backtracks of Flinders Chase National Park - a wilderness covering nearly 200,000 acres. It is home to a wide array of wildlife species such as kangaroos, wallabies, possums, goannas, echidnas, koalas, platypus and many birds including rare Cape Barren Geese. In addition to the wildlife habitat the park also protects important geological features and cultural heritage sites.
Day 10 :
Fly via Adelaide to Sydney, the final stop on this Grand Tour. Stay in a 5-star hotel with views of the Opera House from above.
Day 11 :
Join the locals for lunch on a boat on Sydney Harbour, with magnificent views of the bridge and the Opera house.
Day 12 :
Day at leisure to enjoy Sydney's sights and nightlife.
