Alice Springs Town Tour
Arrive by 1:00pm for transfer to your hotel. A guided tour visits the Telegraph Station, the School of the Air and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Overnight: Alice Springs, Aurora Alice Springs (standard), Crowne Plaza Alice Springs (first class) or Alice Springs Resort, Rivergum Room (deluxe) for 2 nights
West MacDonnell Ranges, Desert Park
Tour the West MacDonnell Ranges, including stops at Simpson’s Gap and Angkerle (Standley Chasm). Return to Alice Springs and visit the Desert Park. (L)
Kata Tjuta & Uluru Sunset Drinks
Visit a camel farm en route to Ayers Rock Resort. Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and enjoy a guided walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Continue on to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for sunset drinks as the last light of day hits the mighty monolith. Overnight: Ayers Rock Resort, Outback Pioneer (standard), Desert Gardens (first class), Sails in the Desert (deluxe) for 2 nights
Uluru Tour, “Sounds of Silence”
Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee as the day’s first light strikes Uluru. As the sun rises, take a guided walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole. See cave paintings, tour the base of Uluru and explore Kantju Gorge before visiting the Cultural Center and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative. Or, forgo the guided walks to climb Uluru and stand 1141 feet above the desert. Tonight, experience the “Sounds of Silence” dinner. (D)
