Day 01: San Jose, Costa Rica

Upon arrival, exit the airport to your right and look for a sign with your name on
it. Meet and greet our representative from Albee Adventures for your private
transfer to the hotel / Approximately 15 minutes.

Hotel Grano de Oro is a true oasis, a sanctuary in the heart of the city.
Converted from a Tropical Victorian mansion,
the 35-room hotel maintains the warmth and
comfort of a private home. Hallways lined with
period photographs and original art meander
through the building and present lush tropical
flower arrangements and luxuriant plants at
every turn. Italian tile fountains grace intimate
atriums, ensuring that one is never far from the
soothing melody of falling water.

Day 02: transfer from san jose to the arenal area

delightful hot springs and adventurous tours in surrounding
areas, Arenal is one of Costa Rica’s major hot-spots

magnificent view of the Arenal Volcano.

Day 03: Tour to Arenal Volcano & Ecotermales Hot Springs

The Arenal Volcano is active since 1968, it constantly
ejects gases, water, fumaroles and explosions with
pyroclastic material emissions, and sometimes the
eruptions are accompanied with powerful thunders.
The ash is carried by the wind over long distances
especially to the northwest area of the volcano. The
biggest and heaviest material falls close to the
crater. The lava flows come out of the crater with a
temperature of about 1 000 Centigrade. As the lava flows down it slowly cools
off.
At the hot springs our customers can enjoy a healthy and
relaxing soak, it is also possible to see the Arenal Volcano
erupting from a comfortable spa.
This tour leaves usually at 4:00 p.m. from the different
hotels, but the hour can change depending where the people are lodged. The tour also includes: Transportation, Bilingual guide, entrance
fee and Dinner.
Take these day to relax and enjoy the surroundings of Arenal by yourself or
allow us to book optional tours if you are interested. Arenal consists of
copious amounts of flora and fauna waiting to be discovered.

Day 04: Arenal – Monteverde

Today you will drive from Arenal Volcano to Monteverde area. The drive takex
approximately 3 hours.

chicken, as well as beef, pork, and decadent desserts. Organic
produce is used whenever possible. The recipes are all unique
to El Sapo Dorado or are original adaptations of old
favorites. Special dietary needs are easily accommodated with
advance notice.

The restaurant bar is fully equipped and the
staff trained to prepare any classic delight as well as the most
exotic of cocktails. We devote theselves to seeing that quality
remains consistent and that service improves daily.
In addition El Sapo Dorado offers you the luxury and
convenience of five kilometers of self-guided trails adjacent to
the hotel where you can explore both primary and secondary forests, open pastures and panoramic views of the Gulf of Nicoya. These trails
are reserved for the exclusive use of our guests and offer a quiet alternative to
the larger reserves.

Day 05: Day at Leisure

Day 06: Monteverde – Manuel Antonio
Today you will drive from Monteverde to the Manuel Antonio area. 5 hours
approximately.

suspension cables as you move through the primary jungle canopy

platform. If our high-tech, high-quality equipment for zip-lining
turns out to be “not your style”, then relax and enjoy a cold one
back on the ground as you watch your fellow guests sip line by
line to each canopy platform.
If you so desire, take a leisurely stroll or hike through our
secluded, protected habitat of Rancho Casa Grande, an excellent location for
you to explore the exotic varieties of plant and animal life in the Costa Rican
mountainous jungles near Manuel Antonio National Park.

Day 08: Day at leisure

Day 09: Tranfer from Manuel Antonio to San Jose and international departure.

You will be tranfered from the hotel to Manuel Antonio air strip to take a
domestic flight to San Jose. Take in consideration that you need to be at the juan
santamaria intl. airport 3 hours before your departure time, therefore we have
included a domestic flight from Manuel antonio to san jose which takes 25
minutes instead of a 4 hours drive.
