At first i was skeptical of coca leaves, but it really subsided my altitude sickness! It isn't like gum though: you ball it up and suck-ish. There is some numbing, but it is worth it if the elevation and hiking get to you. The Incas did it and so did i!

True. Coca leaves and coca tea is help the negative effects of altitude. As Alva says, it isn't uncommon for hotels to serve cocoa tea upon arrival to Cusco for the same reason. Practically no side effects, chances are- you wont notice.

Not when you're arriving in MP, but when you arrive in Cusco, which is higher altitude than MP, they give you cocoa leave tea. Some hotels even have unlimited supply in their lobby.
