How to get to Angel Falls from Caracas
Posted October 22nd, 2007 by Susan H.
My friend and I are planning to travel in Venezula in December. We want to see the famous Angel Falls (supposed the tallest fall in the world), but we couldn’t find ANY information about how to get there. Can anyone help? Thank you so much!

I took that overnight bus from Caracas to Ciudad Bolivar. Do bring a blanket with you to the bus. They cranked up the AC on the bus. It was freezing.
Angle Falls is beautiful and worth the journey, despite the hardship you have to go through to get there…..be prepared to be wet from the boat ride, too.
Susan, You are not alone. It
Susan,
You are not alone. It is impossible to find information about how to get to Angel Falls online or even in guide books. We did this trip last year, here is our two cents:
1. Flight: You fly from Caracas t Ciudad Bolivar, and take another small flight (4 seaters) from Ciudad Bolivar to Canaima. From Canaima, you start your Angel Falls adventure. Unfortunately, there are only three flights a week – I think they are on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. This option only work if you travel on those days – BTW, they cancel the flights sometimes during holidays. It is crazy how Venezuelans run their airlines…..
2. Bus: It is a reliable way to get there, but take long time: You take the overnight bus form Caracas to Ciudad Bolivar, then take the small flight to Canaima.
It is a hassle to get there, but it is worthy.
Good luck!
Jimmy
