Detailed Description
Day 1 : Arrive at Istanbul .Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2 : You will visit The Ottoman and Byzantine treasures. You will enjoy the wonders of the Hippodrome Square, The Blue Mosque ( Sultanahmet Mosque), Hagia Sophia Museum, The Royal Topkapi Palace, The Basilica Cistern and the historical Grand Bazaar which is famous with Anatolian hadicrafts. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3 : Drive to visit Historical sites around Izmit. Overnight Sapanca in a village hosted by a local family.
Day 4 : Visit the historical sites on the way to Düzce. Drive to the village in Abant. Overnight in a village house.
Day 5 : Visit the whole village meeting with local people. After lunch start for Ankara. Overnight in Ankara.
Day 6 : Visit The famous Anatolian Civilization Museum. After lunch in a samll village drive to Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia hosted by a local family.
Day 7 : Visit the churches in Güzelyurt and the famous underground city Kaymakli. Drive to our village. Overnight in Cappadocia hosted by a local family.
Day 8 : Today we discover the surreal landscape of Cappadocia.You will visit the Fairy chimneys, troglodyte dwellings and valleys. You will first visit The Dervent and Pasabag Valleys where you will visit the strange lunar landscape of Cappadocia region, Zelve and Goreme Open air Museums where you will enjoy the fantastic rock churches and beautiful frescos from various centuries decorating the walls. After traditional lunch we will visit Avanos town which is famous with tile and pottery workshops and Uchisar rock castle the ancient fortress of Cappadocia.We will ride to visit Mustafapasa town famous with well preserved Greek houses in the late afternoon. Overnight in Cappadocia hosted by a local family.
Day 9 : This morning you will take a Balloon flight over the surreal landscape of Cappadocia. After breakfast hike in the Red Valley (Get ready for a surprize), You will visit Soganli village and the rock cut churches. After a short drive you will visit The Taskinpasa mosque from 13th cent. Our last visit in the morning will be Keslik monastery. After having lunch in a village house as hosts of a family where you will taste the local Cappadocian food, you will walk in Mustafapasa town. Overnight in Cappadocia hosted by a local family.
Day 10 : Transfer to the airport for the flight to Istanbul. Visit the Spice Market and Rustempasa Mosque, followed by a cruise by ferry through the beautiful Bosphorus. After lunch in Ortakoy, visit Sadberk Hanim museum. Enjoy your Istanbul night in Kumkapi in fish restaurant. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 11 : Transfer from hotel to Istanbul airport for homebound flight.
Notice : Group size is min 8, max 10 pax. Accomodation will be in the real village houses. Lunches and diners are real Turkish dishes in Turkish villages. Accomodation in Istanbul will be in a Special category Otoman style hotel. Tour designed to experience The Turkish Culture. You will have to chance to see a Turkish wedding . You will enjoy a real Turkish bath (Hamam) in Cappadocia as well.
