There's nowhere quite like Africa to reconnect with your soul and reignite your romantic side. The Bachelor's final episodes exposed the immense beauty of South Africa. You too can experience this incredible romantic journey as seen on The Bachelor. Visit spectacular Cape Town, with its dramatically different landscapes and experiences. Nestled against Table Mountain are 300-year-old vineyards, the most beautiful in the world and a cosmopolitan city with unique Cape Dutch Architecture, surrounded by a spectacular necklace of coast with fantastic beaches. It is an adventure enthusiast's dream and a cultural and geographical wonder. Activities can include: soaking up the sun on the beautiful beaches, climbing (or cable-car riding) up Table Mountain, paragliding of signal hill. Visit Cape Point by road or by helicopter, visit the only penguin colony in Africa, diving with Great White sharks, a host of fine food and dining options, and the opportunity to give back (a philanthropic visit). If you have any energy left - sample from Cape Town's renowned nightlife all while staying in luxury accommodation at all price points.

All this is topped off with the most romantic experience possible - a safari. Dinners by fire light out in the bush, under starry African skies, the sweet smell of the African bush and rumble of the lions roar against the night. If this can't get your inner fire going....nothing will :)

Detailed Description

Days 1- 3: Cape Town - O on Kloof

On arrival at Cape Town Airport, you will be met and transferred to O on Kloof where you spend 3 luxurious nights. A sexy exclusive oasis of tranquility amidst bustling city life graced by a breath-taking ocean view falling softly on the eye, contrasted by Lion's Head.

Continue your journey of luxury and opt for the O Suite - Pure indulgence expanding out onto a private sundrenched patio with uninterrupted sea views. The O Suite boasts its own balcony, sea view, hammock, Jacuzzi, bath & separate shower. Make use of the in-house gym, soak up the sun on your private balcony or explore the offering of South Africa’s mother city.

Dinner: Sevruga Restaurant

Day 2: Cape Town - Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Table Mountain & Sunset Cruise

After breakfast, we will take you to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The beautiful Kirstenbosch gardens at the foot of Table Mountain. The gardens are a celebration of South African flora - showcasing only indigenous South African plants. A great variety of birds inhabit the gardens and the sweeping views from the upper slopes are spectacular. The gardens provide some of the best scenery in Cape Town and offer some spectacular walks and an ideal site for a romantic lunchtime picnic.

Weather permitting; take the cable car up Table Mountain in the afternoon, where you can experience the magnificent view. Table Mountain is the definitive symbol of Cape Town. It dominates all photographs of the Mother City and is a part of everyday life even if you never set foot on its hallowed slopes.

In the early evening, we take you to the V & A Waterfront where we take a sunset cruise around the harbor. Cape Town has one of the best locations to see the Sunset from the Sea, Fabulous Table Mountain and city views while the sun dips into the sea at sunset. Experience the sunset from the yacht where Clifton’s white sandy beaches range from 1st to 4th, each beach a cove separated by granite boulders.

Day 3: Cape Town - Peninsula Tour & Horseback Riding

After breakfast you will be met by our representative. Today we tour to Cape Point along the Atlantic coastline to the Cape of Good Hope, first seen by a European in 1488 when Diaz sailed around it on his search for an ocean route to the East Indies. We take a boat ride to Seal Island where approx 700 Cape Fur Seals have made their home. Watch closely for possible sightings of whales and dolphins! From Hout Bay tour over Chapman’s Peak and towards Cape Boulders beach, home to the only colony of Penguins in Africa.

The Noordhoek valley remains one of the Cape Town's treasured destinations. Despite its rural atmosphere and rustic surroundings, its famous beach and its vast wetlands, Noordhoek has lots to offer. Noordhoek is a seemingly never-ending beach that stretches from the town of Noordhoek all the way to Kommetjie. For the romantic at heart, explore the white sandy beach of Noordhoek on horseback. Horses love the water and willingly walk through the breaking waves, while you look out to sea to spot passing whales, dolphins and seals. You can trot or canter along the tide line or splash through the shallow seasonal lagoon bordering the sand dunes. Noordhoek is not a bathing beach, so it is often quiet with only surfers and power kiters around as well as dog walkers and romantic couples. Its white soft sands, the dunes and the severe aspect of the Atlantic Ocean all combine to make this a wonderfully scenic and impressive site. The backdrop of Chapman's Peak pass and the mountains towards Simonstown are breathtaking.

Dinner: The Roundhouse

Days 4 - 5: Winelands - Franschhoek Country House

Today we drive to the winelands for 2 days of spectacular scenery and world class wine. Nestled between towering mountains in the beautiful Cape winelands lies the magnificent Franschhoek Valley. This is the food and wine heartland of the country, where splendid wines are grown and our top chefs create international cuisine.

The restored manor house and former perfumery dating back to 1890, is situated on the outskirts of the village and is surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic mountains. A complimentary sherry can be enjoyed in one of the guest lounges alongside a crackling log-fire, creating a welcoming atmosphere in winter. During summer, guests laze at one of the two pools (one heated) with beautiful mountain vistas, visit the boutique wine-farms in Franschhoek, or stroll in the charming town found by the French Huguenots.

We will also visit Stellenbosch. The heart of the town lies somewhere near the oak-lined Dorp Street. With its venerable old buildings, this is the University´s main thoroughfare, where modern student life sits comfortably side by side with our history and architectural heritage. A variety of soils and locations ideally suited to flourishing of a wide variety of grape cultivars, has seen Stellenbosch continue to dominate the South African wine scene in terms of quality. With the growing acceptance of South African wines globally, Stellenbosch remains at the forefront of growth in the wine industry.

Day 5: Winelands - Day of Leisure

Today you get to experience Franschhoek at your own leisure. If you want to know what to do in Franschhoek spending a day wandering along the tree-lined streets is the perfect way to start. The main street is the heart of this vibrant village, lined with shops and specialist stores it is always buzzing. Visit all the Franschhoek arts and crafts studios and galleries – you are bound to find that something special you weren’t even looking for!
Then, of course, there is the great outdoors. The Franschhoek Valley and the adjacent Dwars River Valley offers energetic hiking, walking, cycling, horse-riding, fly fishing and golf. There is even something for those looking for an activity with a kick: adrenaline junkies can paraglide to the perfect aerial view of the village.

In the afternoon treat yourself to an elegant French-style picnic beneath the fragrant pines, under the majestic Simonsberg Mountain.
Large umbrellas are jauntily set above tables covered with hand-painted cloths. Collect your wicker picnic basket lined with bright coloured cloths, filled with freshly baked baguettes and a tempting collation of homemade pâtés, cold meats, salads, cheese and biscuits. A dessert creation and steaming hot filter coffee are served from the gazebo. The winelist offers the full range of Boschendal's finest wines to enjoy with your picnic and to enhance your "Boschendal experience".

Dinner: Reubens Restaurant

The interior is a tranquil cream and beige haven, cool in the summer, cozy in the winter. The bathroom, with its tranquil look and pebble-inlaid floors complements the bushveld well.

The families passion to deliver a world class luxury safari experience is equaled by their complete commitment in ensuring a pure balance between the preservation of this pristine "bushveld" (wilderness area), allowing access for guests to observe some of Africa's greatest mammals in their natural habitat and ensuring the benefits are shared with local communities. Lion Sands is the only reserve in the Sabi Sand which employs a full time ecologist, who is responsible for ensuring the preservation of the land for another four generations to come. The Lion Sands Game Reserve is private and exclusive to Lion Sands guests only, which ensures the safari experience is highly personalized, allowing guests the time and flexibility to savor the sense of freedom that comes from those who believe in sharing instead of possessing.
