DAY 1 - WELCOME TO AUCKLAND
Welcome to Auckland, the ‘City of Sails’. Auckland offers all of the things associated with a sophisticated cosmopolitan city, from beautiful scenery to adrenaline pumping adventure - and first-class food and wine. You’ll stay 2 nights at the Sofitel Auckland Harbour Auckland. New Zealand’s newest five star waterfront hotel overlooking Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour.

DAY 2 – EXPLORE AUCKLAND
Explore Auckland at your own pace! Auckland’s blend of Harbour, islands, Polynesian culture and modern city environment has created a lifestyle ranked among the best in the world.

DAY 3 - HOBBITON MOVIE SET & FARM TOUR
Today your day begins with a drive through picturesque working sheep farm with views across the Kaimai Ranges towards the Hobbiton Movie Set. Your guide will escort you through the ten acre site of the Lord of the Rings movie set. Your guide will explain all about what was needed to create the Hobbiton set and tell stories about what went on during filming. Check out the Hobbit holes from the film set. After viewing the Bag End, you can pet and feed the hand reared sheep and hand bottle feed lambs.

Continue your journey to Rotorua. You’ll stay here 2 nights at the Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel - a beautifully appointed 5 star hotel.

DAY 4 – ROTORUA

DAY 5 – FLY TO CHRISTCHURCH

Welcome to Christchurch, the ‘Garden City’. The Southern Alps provide a fantastic backdrop to this awesome city. Perched on the coast, Christchurch is the doorway to the Canterbury Plains which spread westwards towards the mountains.

On arrival in Christchurch pick up your rental car. The George, Christchurch’s famous, luxury boutique hotel, is home for the next 2 nights. Located in the heart of Christchurch overlooking the picturesque Hagley Park and River Avon you will find a peaceful retreat just steps from Christchurch's cultural precinct and key attractions.

DAY 6 - LORD OF THE RINGS EDORAS TOUR
Journey to the remote and beautiful Mt Potts high country station, home of Mt Sunday; and see how this peaceful mountain was transformed into Edoras, the capital city of the Rohan people in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Immerse yourself in the natural, unspoiled beauty of this breathtaking area with its sparkling clear lakes, glistening blue rivers and fresh, crisp mountain air. This amazing day includes 4WD access onto Mt Sunday/Edoras itself, a delicious champagne picnic lunch, full running commentary from our friendly and knowledgeable kiwi tour guides and spectacular scenery you will never forget.

DAY 7 – DRIVE TO QUEENSTOWN
This morning take the scenic drive to Queenstown, the Southern Hemisphere's premiere four season alpine and lake resort. Nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and overlooked by the majestic Remarkables Range, Queenstown is the perfect destination all year round.
The Sofitel Queenstown is where you’ll stay for the next 4 nights. The quintessential Sofitel "art de vivre" and lavish amenities complement the classic, yet distinctive design, in the heart of Queenstown.

DAY 8- SAFARI OF THE SCENES – GLENORCHY
For Lord of the Rings fans, this is the tour that really takes you there and back again. This scenic sightseeing tour includes recognizable film locations and stunning natural scenery. You’ll travel from Queenstown to Glenorchy stopping at breath-taking viewpoints along the way. Beyond Glenorchy follow the Dart River to the spectacular filming location for Isengard. This location offers stunning views of Mt Earnslaw. Heading to Paradise to discover the location for the Forest of Lothlorien. Leaving Glenorchy and returning towards Queenstown you will stop at 12 Mile Delta to explore the location of the Ithilien Camp. This tour also includes locations from Xmen Origins: Wolverine, and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. All tours are subject to weather, road & river conditions.

DAY 9 - AT LEISURE
Explore this sophisticated resort town with hundreds of activities from bungy jumping to arts trails in a stunning alpine setting. Whatever you desire, Queenstown can inspire and pamper you in equal measure
