Day 1 Arrival at San Jose. Transfer to hotel.
Located between airport and busy San Jose downtown. Beautiful gardens, restaurant, cozy bar, swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Sauna and Massage room, gym. Rooms; Ac, TV, safety deposit box, an ideal place to start your vacation. Family Appartment.
Day 2 San José.
Free day to relax or to visit as an option, one of the nearby volcanoes.
Day 3 Reception rental car and self-drive to Puerto Viejo de Limon.
Located in front of Cocles Beach (awarded with the Costa Rican Government Blue Flag for clean beaches), 1,5 km south of Puerto Viejo of Talamanca, on the road to Manzanillo, South Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. Just a few steps from the Caribbean sea, with the tropical rainforest in background, the spacious and tastefully decorated bungalows are privately set apart amidst lush gardens full of colour and natural beauty. Designed and crafted in a unique style that blends traditional materials, exotic woods and thatched-palm roofs, with a modern building concept, giving each bungalow a particular atmosphere, with a softly lit original sauna-style bathroom that allows you to enjoy a shower while admiring the natural surroundings. Day 6 Arenal Volcano Area.
Beautiful ride through mountains and typical small villages. Arenal volcano is the most active volcano in Costa Rica and with some luck you might be able to observe the red lava. This almost perfect cone, which soars 1,633 meters above sea level, has a crater 140 meters deep formed over an ancient caldera. Best spot to enjoy these wonders are Tabacon Hot Springs, or any of the other hot springs in the area ( not included ), a veritable thermal wonderland, where a hot volcanic stream is channeled in five pools of varying temperature. Day 9 Self-drive to Monteverde.
Founded in the 1950's by a group of Quakers from the U.S., Monteverde has gained international renown as one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in the tropics. The reserve spreads out over 10,500 hectares of land that hold six different life zones. The climate and terrain of the preserve produce an incredible bio-diversity. There are at least 400 bird species in this high elevation rain forest, including the Resplendent Quetzal, ancient holy bird of the Mayans, over 100 species of mammals, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles and an estimated 2,500 species of plants making Monteverde a true "nature lover's paradise". Delicate orchids, more than 400 species, grace the limbs of majestic trees. Their captivating colors of whites, lilacs, and yellows contrast with the emerald green of the forest.

Day 11 Self-drive to Manuel Antonio.
Manuel Antonio National Park. In this 682 - hectare national park you will see beaches, islands offshore, lush rainforest with good trails, and may have close - up encounters with monkeys, sloth's and lots of birds. Between beaching, you can explore the park’s network of wide trails, which lead into a swatch of humid tropical forest. Manuel Antonio National Park attracts with tropical jungle that borders white sand beaches and blue-green waters... A splendid combination of nature experience and beach fun.
You will stay for three nights at the Hotel Espadilla, located in Manuel Antonio, 150 meters from the beach, small restaurants and little bars. Attractive units with fan, refrigerator, private baths with hot water. Small bar, swimming pool, private reserve with trails adjacent to Manuel Antonio NP.
