How to get to Sikkim and Darjeeling from Calcutta?

We plan to visit Sikkim and Darjeeling from Calcutta. Does anyone know if there are trains, bus, or flights to get to Sikkim and Darjeeling from Calcutta? We heard that Sikkim and Darjeeling are beautiful and are good places for trekking. Any suggestion is appreciated.
