Are taxis expensive in Kobe/Osaka?

The four of us are thinking of renting a car with a driver. no guide? I would like to have a driver for about 8-10 hours: pick up: cruise terminal in Kobe. Is this possible?

Best way to get around China (Going to Great Wall)

This will be our first time to China but we a few friends helping us plan the trip. One outstanding question was regarding the use of taxis. I heard you can “hire” some for the day? We’ll need a taxi from Wangfujing to the Great Wall. Any idea how much a taxi would be to go there, wait for us, then back? I hard some people say its between 200-700 RMB.

Lijiang or Dali? (Yunnan, China)

This is a typical traveler’s dilemma….not enough time, but too many places to see. I have limited amount of time in Yunnan. Instead of spreading my time too thinly, I decide to choose one place and spend all my remaining three days there. Should I spend my time in Lijiang or Dali?
