Seeking value for your money makes good common sense. These days we know that precious memories are priceless. Who knows when you'll get the next chance to escape? Plus, you don't want to sacrifice your time, energy, and money on a ho-hum vacation that leaves you yawning.

Given foreign currency fluctuations, the dollar can gain you 20% to 40% more than before in places like Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, Chile, India, and South Africa. Even Iceland, once deemed pricey, has been more affordable as a getaway. Some still argue that the American dollar stretches further in Argentina, Bali, Morocco, and Vietnam too.
Right now, Mexico, Caribbean, and Central America, including Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Panama, can offer plenty of sunshine and deals to those ready to take the plunge, but you'd have to act fast to book your deals.
