About the Home Page Photo

“Wow, that’s a cool shot! Where is that?” That seems to be a common question for everyone looking at that caravan of camels on our home page. One of our community members, Dexter D., took that photo while traveling on an escorted tour in Morocco and has the following description of it:

"The photo was shot at the start of a caravan into the Sahara desert during a trip through Morocco. We started south of the Atlas Mountains near the town of Zagora. That evening we enjoyed a spectacular sunset over the desert before retiring to our tents. I decided to walk for the first part of the journey, hence was able to get out front of the caravan and capture the graceful arc of the camels crossing the dunes. It was magical." - Dexter
